10 Years Vogtländische Musikinstrumentenfabrik GmbH
Ten years ago, the Berlin Wall came down and Germany was re-unified. That was also the time, when the VEB Blechblas- und Signal-Instrumenten-Fabrik (B&S, the people's owned, state company Brasswind and Signal Instrument Factory) became the Vogtländische Musikinstrumentenfabrik GmbH (VMI). In 1991, it was finally bought by TA-Musik GmbH from the German state trust (Treuhand) and it was able to carry on the 300 years of musical instrument making in freedom in Markneukirchen. After 10 years hard work Gerhard A. Meinl invited customers and musicians from all over the world to an service in Markneukirchens St. Nicolai Church where Joerg Lopper , 1. Trumpeter of the Philharmonic Orchestra Essen , filled the audience with enthusiasm.
