Ewald
Brassquintett is than a rising star in nowadays brass scene. Levente Bakó, Tamás
Tarkó, András Kovalcsik, Róbert Káip and Tamás Kelemen foundet the ensemble
in 1996, still being students at the famous Lizt Ferenc University. Today the
Quintet members holding positions in renowned Hungarian Orchestras such as Danubia
Symphony Orchestra , National Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Hungarian State
Opera.

four years of interpreting Hungarian contemporary music all across Europe
Ewald Brass Quintet won the highest recognition of the Hungarian composers:
The Artisjus Prize. The Ensemble' s greatest successes to date have been taking
gold at the 7th Narbonne International Brass Quintet Competition, International
Trumpet Days of Bremen, First South - Korean Brass Competition in Cheju
Since
two years Ewald Brass plays exclusively on JA- Musik instruments and especially
the trumpet players Bakó and Tarkó were impressed with their Challenger Trumpets.
On their latest recording they also played on the new Meister Johannes Scherzer
rotary Trumpets 8218 and 8217W.
and 2nd Prize at Jan Koetsier Brass Quintet Competition in Munich.
